What is it about?

Samsung has decided to up its ante in the Smartphone segment by introducing a sprint carrier Smartphone. Sprint is operated by Sprint Nextel, and is a global internet provider. The touch screen is based on HVGA (Half Video Graphics Array) technology. HVGA is also used for display on computer screens. So, when you are getting bored, you can pop up your phone and have an amazing experience watching videos. Many other mobile manufacturers like HTC, Blackberry also employ HVGA in their devices. The screen size is 3.5”. The rear camera is 3.2 MP, which is really an attraction point. The 1.3 MP front cameras offer a good experience of video chatting. The USP is certainly the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Google has said that this version of Android is the best for Smartphone platform.

Gingerbread has a new app called NFC, or Near Field Communication which lets you receive electronic tags. And this platform also helps in improving your phone’s battery life. It offers a more simple video chat. And it comes integrated with many apps like Gmail, Google maps, You Tube, Google talk and Google search. Integrated with Sprint’s 4G high speed network, it really offers a great speed.

With a 1 GHz processor, turbocharged and coupled with Sprint 4G, it offers quick and smooth operations. The phone works fast, and you will be surprised by how quickly it logs on to websites. The battery stand by time is given as 230 hrs. And if you are talking continuously, then the phone will burp in 6 hrs. It weighs at 4.2 oz. Which is just right, you wouldn’t want your phone to be as light as to not to feel it in your hands.

The size in inches is 4.57 x 2.38 x 0.46. The color coding is graphite. Graphite makes it look elegant and classy. The cost is under $ 100, and Sprint is pegging it as their first $ 100 4G phone.

Verdict:

It is a good phone, has good features, and the Gingerbread and Sprint 4G combo makes it an attractive prospect. But, the camera is a little less than what the users would have liked. But all in all, it’s a nice phone.
